Kentucky Kingdom Skyline Changing - T3 Being Dismantled Before 2024 Season Opening

The view for guests driving past Kentucky Kingdom on Interstate 264 will look very different this Season! Why you may ask??? Work has finally begun to dismantle the T3 Suspended Roller Coaster! T3 closed at the end of the 2022 Season and has stood untouched until just recently. As seen in the photos below, a crew started to dismantle the Coaster on April 1st, 2024.

T3(T2) opened on April 8th, 1995. It is so crazy how close the dates are from being opened to the public to being torn down. T3 will be missed by some and some are just happy to see it go, which will allow the Herschend Group to bring more new and exciting things to the Park in the near future!

Below are some photos from Facebook Users that have bared witness to the Coaster being dismantled and placed in a field near the Park. Speculation is that T3 has been sold to a unknown buyer and this is why the Coaster has not been destroyed.

Why Flying Fox Could Be a Big Moment for Kentucky Kingdom

Flying Fox brings a whole new energy to the front of Kentucky Kingdom. Kentucky Kingdom is getting ready to open Flying Fox on May 28, and in my opinion, this new coaster feels like more than just another ride addition. It feels like a statement about where the park is headed next. Flying Fox may not be the biggest or most extreme coaster in the park, but that is exactly why it matters. It adds something Kentucky Kingdom truly needed: another family-friendly coaster that still looks fun, exciting, and full of energy. As someone who has followed this project from concept art to construction and now to the finished ride, it has been really exciting to watch it all come together. One of the things I like most about Flying Fox is how compact the layout is while still looking full of movement. The ride twists through the area with lots of turns, close interactions with the pathways, and multiple moments where guests can watch the coaster flying overhead. That alone makes it feel live...

Kentucky Kingdom Opening Weekend 2026: A Rough Start, But Signs of a Stronger Season Ahead

Even with the chaos of Opening Day, it still felt good to be back at Kentucky Kingdom. When I first arrived at Kentucky Kingdom on Opening Day, I was honestly shocked by how many people were lined up at the front gate. There were multiple long lines waiting to get inside, and it was immediately clear that attendance was stronger than it had been for 2025’s opening. Even before stepping fully into the park, you could feel the excitement in the crowd. Everyone seemed to be taking in the new entrance plaza updates, the moon rock fountain, the bright green Flying Fox track crossing over pathways, and the general buzz of a new season beginning. Opening Day crowds were noticeably larger than last year, and the excitement at the front gate was easy to feel. Once I got inside, the park had a strong energy. The atmosphere felt upbeat, the music was pumping throughout the midway, and guests seemed genuinely happy to be back. At the same time, it did not take long to notice that operations...

Holiday World Platinum Passholder Preview Day 2026 Recap

Walking through the gates for Platinum Passholder Preview Day felt like the perfect start to the 2026 season. Holiday World’s Platinum Passholder Preview Day was an amazing way to kick off the 2026 season. From the moment I walked up to the entrance gates, I could not wait any longer to get inside. As soon as I entered the park, picked up my Platinum Season Pass magnet, and took in the entrance plaza, I felt like I was in paradise. All the stress I had been carrying around in my mind disappeared. For a few hours, it was all relaxation, fun, and the simple joy of being back at one of my favorite places. Even though it was raining off and on when I arrived, it did not take away from the day at all. If anything, it made finally being back feel even more special. After taking a few photos and videos around the entrance plaza, I headed into St. Nick’s Trading Company to see all of the new merchandise for Holiday World’s 80th Anniversary season, and that was one of the first big highl...
