The 2024 Season at Kentucky Kingdom is about to get AWESOME! Kentucky Kingdom has announced they will be hosting three new festivals at the Park for in the 2024 Season. Two festivals will be returning as well, and one gets a major addition! I am super excited to see what all this years festivals has in store. I was not able to visit the Summer Blast event last season, but it did look like an awesome experience, and a first at Kentucky Kingdom, having fireworks at the Park!  Below I have broken down each Festival/Event that will be going on throughout the 2024 Season at Kentucky Kingdom: (Event details in sourced from the Kentucky Kingdom website:   https://www.kentuckykingdom.com/explore-the-park/festivals-events/ )  Petal Palooza  Coming May 25 - June  30 Experience color in motion as we celebrate the transition from spring to summertime in Louisville. Kentucky Kingdom Skyline Changing - T3 Being Dismantled Before 2024 Season Opening

Image
The view for guests driving past Kentucky Kingdom on Interstate 264 will look very different this Season! Why you may ask??? Work has finally begun to dismantle the T3 Suspended Roller Coaster! T3 closed at the end of the 2022 Season and has stood untouched until just recently. As seen in the photos below, a crew started to dismantle the Coaster on April 1st, 2024.  (Photo Credit: @Coaster Chit Chat on Facebook) T3(T2) opened on April 8th, 1995. It is so crazy how close the dates are from being opened to the public to being torn down. T3 will be missed by some and some are just happy to see it go, which will allow the Herschend Group to bring more new and exciting things to the Park in the near future!  Below are some photos from Facebook Users that have bared witness to the Coaster being dismantled and placed in a field near the Park. Speculation is that T3 has been sold to a unknown buyer and this is why the Coaster has not been destroyed.  (Photo Credit: @Jenni Hawkins...
