Holiday World brought back their Holidays in the Sky Drone & Fireworks show for 2024, and this year's show has 500 Drones! Holidays in the Sky is always a crowd-pleaser every Summer at Holiday World. For the past three Summers, Holiday World has put on the Drone and Fireworks show and has added more and more drones every year. The show is put on by Firefly Drone Shows  and they do an awesome job choreographing it with the Holiday World Team, bringing something new every Summer.  Also returning before the Drone and Fireworks show is the Light the Night DJ & Dance Party. This year the bubble machines were on full blast, as shown in the video below. The Kids and Parents also love this portion of the night before the Main Event begins! The dance floor area is always very crowded, but crowded in a good way, Families having fun dancing and singing along and having a great time.   Each Season and throughout the year the Horticulture Team at Kentucky Kingdom is always hard at work growing and maintaining thousands of plants, flowers, trees, grasses, and more to ensure the Park looks beautiful around every corner for their guests during every visit. The flowers throughout the Theme and Water Park guests encounter have such vibrant colors and look beautiful all season long.  Having much appreciation for the Horticulture Team's hard work and dedication we were curious as to what all goes into getting the plants, flowers, and more ready for guests each season, so we reached out to the head of the Horticulture Department Jason Anderson to get some answers:    Q: Can you tell me about your experience in horticulture and what was your inspiration and reason you joined the Kentucky Kingdom Horticulture Team, and how long have you worked with the Park?   A: I have over 20 years experience in the horticulture field,...

  (Logo Provided by Kentucky Kingdom) Petal Palooza kicked off May 25th at Kentucky Kingdom and happens daily till June 30th. This is the first year for this festival at the Park. The Horticulture Department at Kentucky Kingdom also know as the Kentucky Kingdom Gardens team have really done a great job this Season with all the newly planted flowers and plants thus far. The Weather this Spring has really not been the best with rounds of heavy rain off and on, but that does not stop the Park from looking absolutely beautiful!  The Horticulture Team has added a few different displays around the front side of the Park, which are part of the Petal Palooza festival. Below you can see a variety of these beautiful flower walls and displays. These also make the perfect photo opp for those photo fans! The 2024 Kentucky Kingdom Season has begun!!! The 2024 Season is going to have lots of memories and fun for the entire Family to enjoy! May 10th kicked off the Season with an exclusive Season Passholder only event that lasted into the night, so yes we got our first official night rides of the Season. This event gave Season Passholders the chance to explore the Park one day before the public Park opening on May 11th. The event was held from 5pm - 10pm, so it was a very laid back kind of atmosphere with low attendance, and less stress, which was really awesome because it meant shorter waits for the Coasters and other attractions.  Having a lower amount of people roaming around the Park also allows you to scope the Park out for all the off season changes that went on. There were quite a few off season changes in fact, a few I have pictured below: (these are just a few that I noticed, there are a lots still to discover) I did also notice lots of survey markings in the Swamp Water Jacks...

Gee Willikers, Good Gravy! is one Awesome Coaster! The Holiday World Team hit it out the Park with their new for 2024 Family Boomerang Coaster Good Gravy! The addition of Good Gravy! is just what the Park needed. The new Coaster and the new Stuffing Springs area is more than just a new addition to Holiday World it's a whole new experience! From the beautiful landscaping all around you, to the Gravy Boat flower bed with the overflowing "Gravy" gravel  river that you cross, to the many giant oversized kitchen accessory statues, even the sight of the new Good Gravy! coaster flying past you, and even seeing the other Thanksgiving section attractions running all around you it is all just so beautiful!  Good Gravy! The 2024 Season at Holiday World kicked off on May 4th for all Platinum Season Passholders, and gosh was it an amazing day! Yes it was a little muggy out and you for sure could not skip out on the sunscreen that day, which btw Holiday World offers Free Sunscreen as well throughout the Parks, but besides that the day couldn't have been better!  The day began by waiting near The Raven's exit ramp for the Rope Drop, which I had never been able to experience this before at Holiday World, so that was exciting! Right at 10am the Security Guard dropped the rope and everyone was off like the Horses racing in the Kentucky Derby that evening. Where might you ask was everyone in such a hurry to get to....Well Good Gravy! of course!!! My review of Good Gravy! will be posted soon on the Blog, please stay tuned. I will say the addition of Good Gravy! and Stuffing Springs really makes the Thanksgiving section of the Park a place that you could stay in all day and just enjoy everything going o...
